OGINO T
CURR OPIN ORTHOP , 1994, vol. 5, n° IV, p. 69-74
Doc n°: 67068
Localisation : Documentation IRR
Descripteurs : DD83 - MALFORMATIONS CONGENITALES - MAIN-DOIGTS

The updating and modification of Swanson's classification system for congenital hand anomalies has been undergoing and evolution in an attempt to clarify ambiguities between central polydactyly, syndactyly, and typical cleft hand and between brachysyndactyly, atypical cleft hand, and transverse deficiency. New or modified treatment procedures have been reported for syndactyly release, camptodactyly, windblown hand, residual deformity after operations for thumb polydactyly, metacarpal synostosis, and Madelung's deformity. Current opinions on toe-to-hand transfer, toe phalangeal grafting, digital lengthening, and pollicization are also described.
