Résumé anglais : The typical thumb deformities in cerebral palsy are adduction contracture and adduction-flexion contracture (thumb-in-palm deformity). Surgical treatment of thumb deformity involves a rebalance of forces acting across the thumb joints by release of spastic muscles and augmentation of paretic muscles. Unstable joints may need stabilization or arthrodesis.
